Alex Nixon

Alex has been in the forestry consulting and real-estate business for over 40 years, managing thousands of acres of timberland and recreational properties for private landowners throughout Georgia and South Carolina. During this time, he gained vast knowledge and built long lasting relationships that he now brings to the rural land brokerage industry.

Alex graduated from The University of Georgia with a BS in Forest Resources and a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in real estate and urban development , he currently owns Nixon Land Company where he manages over 38,000 acres of private family owned forest and agricultural land in SC and GA.

Alex is active in many civic organizations including the Central Savannah River Land Trust and St. Augustine's Episcopal Church. He has been a Trustee of the Clinton Anderson Foundation for 30 years.

Alex's appreciation for land has been passed down for generations. His family has owned land in Georgia since 1865 when they bought their first farm in Richmond County, Georgia where he and his family still own approximately 2000 acres.

Besides being in the great outdoors Alex enjoys reading, studying historical events, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and his wife Markie.
