Philip Mead
Philip is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in Forest Management and Business concentration. He started his post-graduate career as a forester for a real estate investment company in Spartanburg, South Carolina. His primary responsibilities included the planning and execution of all forestry-related field operations on over 27,000 acres of company-owned timberland in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. He gained extensive knowledge and experience in GPS/GIS/mapping, database/information management, prescribed burning, timber cruising, timber sale preparation and administration, tree planting, and all other aspects of operational forestry.
In 2012, Philip moved back to his hometown of Asheboro, North Carolina to pursue a career working with private landowners as a consulting forester. In 2021, he became the owner of Henderson Forestry Consultants and now oversees the management of timberland for private landowners in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
Currently, Philip is a Registered Forester in North Carolina and South Carolina. He is also an active member of the Association of Consulting Foresters, Society of American Foresters, and the American Tree Farm System.
Philip obtained his North Carolina real estate broker license in 2023 to better serve his clients and assist Crosby Land Company with expansion into the North Carolina real estate market.
In his spare time, Philip enjoys camping, canoeing, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his two children and wife, Rebecca.
