Richey Burge

Richey graduated from Auburn University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Sciences. Shortly after, he moved to Washington County, Georgia, where he founded Tarver Grove Plantation, a commercial hunting preserve offering deer, dove, turkey, and quail hunts.

While managing Tarver Grove, Richey began sharing his expertise in wildlife management with private landowners across the region. His primary focus has been the enhancement of whitetail deer herds through habitat development, nutritional planning, and herd management. Thanks to his proven track record and strong reputation, Richey now serves as a trusted consultant on some of Georgia’s premier whitetail hunting properties.

In addition to his consulting work, Richey owns and operates Bolu Tree Nursery, which specializes in high-quality containerized seedlings tailored for wildlife. The nursery offers a diverse selection of native species, chestnuts, and grafted fruit trees, many of which are unique to Bolu.

Through his partnership with Crosby Land Company, Richey now also provides land brokerage services and market evaluations, further expanding the value he offers to clients.

Richey lives in Sandersville, Georgia, with his wife Elaine and their two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family and embracing the outdoors while pursuing all types of wild game.
