Joshua Jones

Joshua Jones is a 2002 graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resource Management. He began his career in forestry consulting, spending nine years gaining hands-on experience in timber management. This foundation led him to a procurement company, where he spent another nine years purchasing timber while continuing to offer management services.

In 2015, Joshua co-founded Southern Silviculture Services, LLC, which continues to provide site preparation, understory herbicide applications, and both hand and machine planting services. Then in 2021, he partnered with two others to establish Green Leaf Forestry, LLC, a timber procurement company that also provides timber management services and remains active today.

A native of Colleton County, South Carolina, Joshua developed a love for the outdoors early on through hunting and fishing. He was introduced to the forestry industry at a young age by riding along with his father, who also worked in the timber industry.

Joshua is a South Carolina Registered Forester, Top Logger Certified, a Licensed Prescribed Fire Manager, a Commercial Applicator License holder, and has been a Licensed Real Estate Agent since 2006. He is also an active member of the South Carolina Farm Bureau.

He currently lives in Lodge, South Carolina, with his wife, Rhonda, and their two children, Peighton and Easton.
